In this website, I call Tancho or Tancho Crane with affectionate feeling. The size of Tancho is 1m60cm height and 2m40cm wing width. Tancho Cranes live in Turui Village Hokkaido Prefecture. When we look at Tancho, we will be strongly attracted to the elegant and dynamic figure at first sight.       Tancho Crane Village Maps     This page contains maps of Hokkaido, Kushiro Shitsugen Wetland, Setsuri river and Tsurui-Ito Tancho Sanctuary.      Roost of Tancho Setsuri River     The Setsuri River doesn't freeze even in winter season. So Tancho Crines dwell in this ice-free river in winter.       Tsurui-Ito Tancho Sanctuary     This area is a feeding ground in winter. About 200 Tanchoes gather everyday from morning till evening.     Flight of Tancho     When Tancho is flying, Tancho forms the most beautiful figure.
